Hotaru with her Bow
Hotaru is a 17 year old half-elf from the Prata clan.
History[]
Hotaru's mother, Eva was a human and her father, Cibran was an elf. Their whole relationship was an affair, as they were both already married to people of their own kind. When Hotaru was born, she had elven ears and Eva thought it would be best for Hotaru to live with her father. Hotaru's Grandparents were outraged when they learned that their son had had an affair with a human. In a rage, they killed Hotaru's mother. When Cibran learned of Eva's death; he took his own life. Cibran's wife refused to take Hotaru, so she was raised by her grandparents.
Hotaru's two older half-siblings would often pick on her and call her scum because she was half human. They would make her do chores and run errands for them. Hotaru only made one friend in her elven village; Luminita. When her grandparents found out she had made a friend they banned Hotaru from ever seeing Luminita.
When Hotaru was 5 years old, her grandparents sent her off to live with her other two half-siblings and their father. Her mother's family knew that she was only half-human and Hotaru was told to always where a hat, or to cover her ears with her hair when she went outside.
For the next 5 years Hotaru was tossed between her mothers side and her fathers side; nobody wanted her. When she was 10 she decided that she had had enough and she ran away into the elven forests. Hotaru had never been taught the art of hunting and she slowly began starving to death, still refusing to go back.
Viriato, an elven rebel, found the young Hotaru passed out amoung the tree groves. He took her back to his camp and nursed her to health. Viriato was a member of the Terra clan, but he opposed the seperation and politics of the clans, he became Hotaru's idol, tutor and sensei. He taught Hotaru how to fight, how to use a bow, how to survive as well as teaching her the politics, traditions and rules of each clan. When Hotaru was 14, the camp that they lived in was attack by the Vermello clan. Viriato died protecting Hotaru and with his death, the other rebels all fled. The rebel camp was burnt to the ground.
Appearance and Personality[]
Hotaru has long blue hair and green/blue eyes, she also has the pointed ears of an elf. She usually wears blue clothes to match her hair, or foresty clothes. On a full moon, her hair turns silvery-blue, although she doesn't really know why.
Despite her past, Hotaru is usually a bubbly person. She is happy to make friends with most people, although she gets a bit touchy with the topic of family. Hotaru enjoys the acceptiveness at Akuma High, as it's not something she's used to.
TimeSkip[]
Hotaru joined Akuma when she was 15, it was the first time she felt accepted since Viriato's death. She made a few good friends there and they motivated her again.
Hotaru left Akuma for two years, she traveled back to the ruins of the rebel camp in the elven forests to train. Hotaru had no luck finding the remaining members of the rebels, however she founded a new rebel force with other young elves like herself.
The Rebel Youth found a diamond mine and have been mining said diamonds as a means of income. The diamonds have been paying for the cost of the camp, including defences and weapons. Hotaru plans to launch an attack on the Vermello clan when she graduates from Akuma.
In the meantime, the diamonds have made Hotaru quite wealthy.
After the two years Hotaru went back to Akuma, her new pixie friend, Sabela, from the rebel force came with her.

Powers and Abilities[]
Hotaru is a very talented archer, and it's her favourite past time. She can hit almost any mark and always carries her bow with her.
Hotaru can also use slight amounts of elven magic, but not very much, because she is only half-elf. (Although the amount she can use is growing due to trainging.) The magic that she can use however, she infuses on her arrows, making them more powerful and accurate.
Luminita, her childhood friend, knew healing magic, and one day Hotaru plans to learn that too.
As well as archery, Hotaru is also skilled at martial arts, swordsmenship and knife throwing, this is all thanks to her training at the Rebel Camp.
Weapons[]
Golden Dragon Arrow
The Golden Dragon Arrow was given to Hotaru by Miketsu. A dragon is carved down the shaft of the arrow. It's extremely powerful, even when not infused with elven magic. Having destroyed several trees in one shot when tested, Hotaru is saving this arrow to avenge Viriato.
Hotaru has many weapons that she keeps on her person, or in her dorm. They include;
- Normal Arrows - Used for hunting and target practise.
- Orb Arrows - These are the arrows that Hotaru infuses elemental magic into, each orb can hold an element that is released when the arrow hits a target and the orb breaks - One use only.
- Shadow Web Arrows - These arrows release shadows similar to a spider's web, used for entrapment.
- Hotaru's Favourite Bow - Made from an enchanted tree.
- Long Bow and Short Bow
- Viriato's Old Bow - This was left to Hotaru, but she barely uses it.
- Quiver - Holds an assortment of Elven Arrows
- Throwing Knives - Each infused with a different element, not used very often.
- Dagger - Was a present from Viriato, Usually kept in a strap on Hotaru's leg.
- Scimitar and Long Sword
- Viriato's Old Sword - Also left to Hotaru, although she does use this one and it's her favourate sword.
Goals, Dreams, Wishes[]
